Today, we're learning some airport vocabulary. I’ll share 20 words, with example sentences that you can use at the airport.

Alright, so let’s get started! Let’s learn 20 words or expressions for the airport. Repeat after me to practice your pronunciation:
L'aéroport (the airport) 🛬 - Nous allons à l'aéroport. (We are going to the airport.)
La carte d'embarquement (boarding pass) 🎫 - J'ai besoin de ma carte d'embarquement. (I need my boarding pass.)
Le passeport (passport) 📕 - Montrez votre passeport à la douane. (Show your passport at customs.)
Les bagages (luggage) 🛄 - J'ai deux bagages. (I have two pieces of luggage.)
La valise (suitcase) 🧳 - Ma valise est très lourde. (My suitcase is very heavy.)
Le bagage à main (hand luggage) 👜 - Mettez votre bagage à main sous le siège. (Put your hand luggage under the seat.)
Le billet d'avion (plane ticket) ✈️ - J'ai acheté mon billet d'avion en ligne. (I bought my plane ticket online.)
Le contrôle de sécurité (security check) 🛃 - Le contrôle de sécurité est obligatoire. (The security check is mandatory.)
La douane (customs) 🛂 - Vous devez passer la douane rapidement. (You need to go through customs quickly.)
Le terminal (terminal) 🏛️ - Le terminal est très grand. (The terminal is very large.)
La porte (gate) 🚪 - Rendez-vous à la porte 22. (Meet at gate 22.)
Le comptoir d’enregistrement (check-in counter) 🛂 - Où se trouve le comptoir d'enregistrement pour ce vol? (Where is the check-in counter for this flight?)
Le vol (flight) ✈️ - Le vol pour Paris est direct. (The flight to Paris is direct.)
Le tableau d'affichage (information display) 📜 - Vérifiez la porte d’embarquement sur le tableau d'affichage. (Check your gates on the information display.)
L'arrivée (arrival) 🛬 - L'arrivée de notre vol est prévue à 17h. (Our flight's arrival is scheduled for 5 PM.)
Le départ (departure) 🛫 - Le départ du vol 502 est prévu à 14h30. (The departure of flight 502 is scheduled for 2:30 PM.)
Le tapis roulant (conveyor belt) 🧳 - Le tapis roulant est en panne, il y aura un retard pour récupérer les bagages. (The conveyor belt is broken, there will be a delay in retrieving luggage.)
Le retard (delay) ⏱️ - Il y a un retard à cause du brouillard. (There is a delay due to fog.)
La compagnie aérienne (airline) 🛫 - Quelle compagnie aérienne préférez-vous? (Which airline do you prefer?)
L'embarquement (boarding) 🛫 - L'embarquement commence dans 5 minutes. (Boarding starts in 5 minutes.)
